THINGS TO BRING WITH YOU

Kitchen Stuff

We try and keep coffe, tea, salt and pepper at the houses. We suggest you bring bottled water to drink. The tap water is good for cooking, but I like bottled for drinking. Some guests bring food to cook, others eat out every meal. I try to keep good cooking and eating utensils at both houses, and am constantly replacing ones that are rusty and old. There are two BBQ grills and usually plenty of charcoal and starter. Ask us before you come, and we will let you know.We also make sure there are trash bags.

Linens

As far as linens, we put a clean set of linens on the beds and keep an extra set in the closets. We will supply towels for all, however, it is good to bring some beach towels and blankets from home to be used at the beach. We also keep dish towels for drying dishes. We keep plastic covers on the bed pillows, you might want to bring your own pillow from home, to be more comfortable.

The Beach

Some beach chairs, buckets for collecting shells, and a metal detector is a great idea.

Mosquitoes

We try to keep mosquito candles at both houses. If you are familiar with the Gulf Coast, sometimes at night they can be impossible. A definite must is to bring Cutters Mosquito Wipes. They work really great if you are sitting out at night, and they don't make you smell like a can of OFF. A suggestion, I received by e-mail was to put a couple of drops of LEMON FRESH JOY in a white plate filled with water on the decks. They say it attracts the mosquitoes and the drop right there.
